General classroom information
-- When you enter the classroom, one person from your table will fill out a homework monitor sheet. Fill the form out and hand to Mrs. Schaaf.
-- Most assignments will be graded in class. When you are grading a paper you must use a different color writing utensil than the paper was completed in. I have markers in my room for this.
-- All papers must have your name on it. If this becomes an issue points will start to be deducted from no name papers.
-- It is really important to keep up on daily work. I expect you to come to class with the assignment finished. I will not accept late work from a chapter once the chapter test has been given.
-- If you receive a grade which you are not satisfied with you have the option to redo the paper. When a paper is redone the new answers must be on another piece of paper. Do not erase your first answer. I will not remind you to turn this assignment in. It is your responsibility to turn the redo in the late box. The paper is not late if you write redo at the top. You have one day to turn this back into me otherwise it will become a late paper.
-- Use your assignment book every day! The assignment is always written on the right hand side of the board.
If you are not in the classroom and ready to begin when the bell rings you will spend 10 minutes after school with me.
It is my goal to update grades every few weeks. If at any time you are struggling with science I encourage you to come and ask for help during study hall, before school (starting at 7:45), or after school. If your parents have any questions throughout the year, they may contact me at school 223-1545 or by email cschaaf@bpsne.org. My free period is from 9:27- 10:08 or after 3:28. Also, I have a website that I encourage you to visit any time. You will find a lot of information and pictures of our team. There is also a link to some cool science websites and to our textbook.
