Speech Team Is Coming To A Close

The BHS Speech Team is wrapping up its season.
A meet was held at BHS on Saturday March 3, with events starting at 9:00 A.M. Results of this meet were:
Persuasive Speech: Olivia Crandall – 2nd, Creighton Hoefer – 6th;
Poetry: Jordan Hinkel – 3rd, Kenzie Mabon – 5th;
Extemporaneous Novice: Hoefer – 2nd;
Serious Prose: Jenny Christensen – 5th;
Humerous Prose: Jason Shonerd – 3rd;
Novice Poetry – Catie Stanosheck – 2nd;
Duet Acting – Delvin Harris and Matt Elder – 5th;
Oral Interpretation of Drama: Harris, Elder, Stanosheck and Jairah Warren – 6th.
Districts will be held at York on Tuesday, March 13 starting at 1:00 P.M.
Each meet has two divisions, performing and researching. Those two divisions break down into nine categories of possible topics including pros, informative, and more. Mr. Ankrom, the sponsor for the Speech Team is looking forward to districts.
“The team had 2nd at conference so I think we will do good,” Ankrom said.
