School Counselors teach in the classroom one day a week and we call this day BONUS day, which stands for a Brilliant Opportunity to Nurture and Understand Self. We use a variety of materials including but not limited to Be Good People, Look2College, KnowHow2Go, and EducationQuest. Some of the topics we cover in BONUS Day throughout middle school are empathy, making friends, bully prevention, sexual harassment prevention, anger management, substance abuse, setting goals, good study habits, how to go to college, and career awareness.
