Child Find

The Child Find Program is an intensive ongoing state-wide search for all unserved handicapped children, ages birth to twenty-one. Beatrice Public Schools is attempting to inform parents in the district that help is available for all handicapped children. Action taken by the Nebraska Legislature compels local school districts to provide or contract for special education programs for all resident children who would benefit from such programs. parents who have a child they believe may be handicapped and who is not currently receiving services are asked to contact their children's respective school. An evaluation to determine eligibility for appropriate special education services will be arranged.
